PM & EHR Preferences Setup
PM User Set up
- After logging into PM. Select the Admin > Preferences> User> General

- User Preferences box will appear with general tab selected. Recommended set up is in screen shot below.
- Note: Color can be updated to user preference.
- Start location for cursor on chart/patient lookup can also be selected to user preference.

- Click on Chart tab make sure recommended settings are same a below screen shot.
- Note: User can also set up a different color for Patient Information Bar

- Click ok to save changes.
- User can also setup preferred location by selecting Admin > Preferences > User > Locations

- Check box location and Blue Arrow it to the top of list. Click Ok to save.
- More than one location can be selected as a preferred location

PM Scheduling set up
- Select the Admin > Preferences > User > Scheduling while in PM

- Appointment Scheduling Preferences box will appear with general tab selected. Recommended setup is in screen shot below.

- Multi View tab assists with seeing multiple schedules at one time. Select your name under resource selections/Order box. Select any additional resources needed.
- Multiple Multi view group can be created. Refer to Multi view Group set up Procedure.

- Daily View Tab should everything checked off on it. See recommended screenshot below.

- Resource Tab should be updated to reflect your name and moved to top by utilizing double blue arrow. Select multiple resources and move to top for those schedules you would reference often.

- Set up Appt Search/Waitlist Tab as recommended screen shot below shows.

- Lastly, The Tooltip Tab. Recommended set up below.
- You can select additional tooltip items and move them around by utilizing he blue arrows on the right.

- Select Ok to save all updates.
EHR User Preferences
- With EHR open select from top of screen Tools > Preferences

- The Preferences pop up will appear on the General Tab. Set up this tab with the recommended per screen shot below.
- Initial Field under Patient Selection section can be updated on what preferred on where it will start when looking up patients.

- On the Main Toolbar Tab make sure to set up as recommended below taking care to select the Billable encounters check box.
- Note: Important to make sure that the Encounter Display is clicked on and set up. This is where the encounter view is set up and extremely important for the Providers Four Point Check.

- The Customize Encounter Display screen appears. Set up as below to make sure you are bale to see encounter specific details.

- On the Medical Records tab select the location and Provider that will appear at the top of the screen. This is also important to make sure setup correctly as this can pull to documents and encounters. Also important for the Four Point check.

- On the Template Tab it is important to pull over to the right any templates that will be used most frequently.
- BH – Intake Prescreen, Packet Navigation (BH) etc.
- PC - *SOAP, *Intake, *Finalize etc.
- Also if one prefers to have a template automatically open from Workflow Appointments the Default Template can be selected lower right hand along with the check box marked off for Open from Work Flow Appts.

- For Prescribers: Medication tab can be filled out with default printers according to their locations.

Note: To customize personal preferences related to the text, size, and content of the toolbar select Tools > Top Toolbar > Text, Icons, and/or Customize
