Resetting Your NextGen Password
When in need of a password reset reach out to the HIT department for an updated password. Once received, follow steps below to reset your password:
1. Navigate to the web portal: RD Web Access (nextgenmcs.com)
2. Log in with username making sure the prefix cent2\ is in front of it.
EXAMPLE: cent2\jsmith
3. Enter the password provided by HIT team.
4. Click the "Sign in" button (indicated in BLUE below)
IMPORTANT: The "Click Here to reset your password" link found on the screen below is to ONLY be used when you receive notification that your password is about to expire from the system. If an administrator has reset your password, do not use that link and keep reading for further instructions.
5. Once you click "Sign in", new text will appear that states "your password has expired" and will include a new link which reads "click here to reset". Click the new link.
6. Enter the password provided by HIT Team in the "Current" field.
7. Create a new password, and re-type the same password to confirm it.
Your new password:
- Can NOT be one previously used
- MUST contain at least 8 characters
- MUST contain at least one capital letter
- MUST contain at least one number
- MUST contain at least one special character
8. The portal should confirm that your password has been successfully updated. You can now use your newly created password log into NextGen.
